Car Seat Safety Checks
Horseheads Family Resource Center is proud to offer free car seat safety checks for families in our community with the help of our sponsor, Williams Auto Group!
Car seats can be confusing, and they often need to be adjusted as children grow, vehicles change, or seats are moved between cars. Our trained staff are here to help caregivers feel confident that their child’s car seat is installed and used correctly.
What We Offer
During a car seat check, families will receive:
- One-on-one support from a certified car seat safety technician
- Help checking car seat installation
- Guidance on harness fit and proper seat use
- Education about choosing the right seat for your child’s age, height, and weight
- Support moving or reinstalling seats between vehicles
- A welcoming, judgment-free experience for caregivers
Who Can Use This Service?
This service is available to all families with children who use car seats or booster seats. Whether you are expecting a baby, recently upgraded seats, bought a new vehicle, or just want peace of mind, we are happy to help.
