A free play-and-learn home base for families
Make yourselves at home in bright, welcoming spaces designed for play, connection, and everyday discovery. Spend time in open play, try hands-on activities, build and pretend together, dip into stories and puzzles, and take a softer moment when you need it. Come for a quick reset, or stay long enough to make a morning or afternoon of it.
You’ll find HFRC in two easy-to-reach spots, our Mall location and our Church Street space. Both are simple to access with nearby parking, and each is set up to help families settle in quickly so the good part starts right away. Check today’s location, then drop in and make yourselves at home.

Parents/Caregivers
Diapers and essentials, ready for pickup at HFRC
Diapers, wipes, and baby essentials are available through our partners at Twin Tiers Baby Bank, with pick-up right at HFRC. Order online and select HFRC as your pick-up site, then pick up in the HFRC Mall Community Room across from the Mall Playroom on the second Wednesday of each month (10am–12pm and 5pm–6pm). Families can receive supplies once per month.

The Horseheads Family Resource Center is an independent nonprofit built around local families and the people who support them. Families, local businesses, and community partners help make it possible for children to play, learn, and grow in welcoming spaces. Local donations and philanthropic support help keep programs free and help maintain the spaces families rely on. The numbers tell part of the story, and the rest happens here.
